The University of Minnesota Twin Cities is a large, public research university located in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. It is the flagship institution of the University of Minnesota System. The University of Minnesota Twin Cities, or "The U," offers over 150 majors studied by over 30,000 undergraduate students who are also involved in over 1,000 different majors. The U is also known for being a top-10 public research institution in the United States and a top-25 public institution overall within the US.
